“That look, Blue thought. Ronan Lynch would do anything for Gansey.”
happy birthday ronan | @lynchmatthew
- ‘Inside the farmhouse, everything was in black and white. The air was stained permanently with the pleasant odor of Ronan’s childhood: hickory smoke and boxwood, grass seed and lemon cleaner. “I remember,” Gansey said thoughtfully to Ronan, “when you used to smell like this”’
- bro I remember what you used to smell like bro
- “This,” Gansey replied, “is precisely why I didn’t want to have a baby with you.”
- YOU KNOW THEY TALKED ABOUT THIS THEY HAD THIS CONVERSATION ABOUT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THEY HAD A CHILD AND WHATEVER RONAN SAID WAS SO RIDICULOUS THAT GANSEY PUT HIS FOOT DOWN

- ‘Gansey was deeply moved by the sound of that laugh, here of all places, here in the barns, here in a room that was only fifty feet from where ronan had found his father dead and his life in pieces. it was such a throwaway sound now, that laugh. an easy one that said it could be spent so easily because there were more where that one came from.’

- Ronan’s Gay Crisis™ with the flowers
- 'This was the sort of thing that Gansey couldn’t resist, and so Adam and Ronan moved farther down the hall toward the dining room while Gansey lingered over the flowers. When Ronan glanced over his shoulder, Gansey stood with one of the blossoms cupped in his hand. There was something humble and awed in the way he stood, something grateful and wistful in his face as he gazed at the flower. It was a strangely deferential expression. Somehow this made Ronan even angrier. He turned quickly away before Gansey could catch his eye.’
- ‘This was home: Henrietta, the Pig, Ronan.’
- ‘Back then, it had surprised Ronan; he hadn’t realized yet that Gansey could persuade even the sun to pause and give him the time.’
- Jealous!Ronan: ‘The ‘oh, hey’ was accompanied by a definite change in the timbre of his voice. That meant it was Adam, and that somehow stoked Ronan’s anger. Everything was worse at night.’
- GAY CRISIS™ PART TWO
- ‘Ronan wasn’t exactly sure why he was angry. Although Gansey had done nothing to invoke his ire, he was definitely part of the problem. Currently, he propped his cell between ear and shoulder as he eyed a pair of plastic plates printed with smiling tomatoes. His unbuttoned collar revealed a good bit of his collarbone. No one could deny that Gansey was a glorious portrait of youth, the well-tended product of a fortunate and moneyed pairing. Ordinarily, he was so polished that it was bearable, though, because he was clearly not the same species as Ronan’s rough-and-ready family. But tonight, under the fluorescent lights of Dollar City, Gansey’s hair was scuffed and his cargo shorts were a greasy ruin from mucking over the Pig. He was bare-legged and sockless in his Top-Siders and very clearly a real human, an attainable human, and this, somehow, made Ronan want to smash his fist through a wall.’
@ravencyclenetwork search: favorite ship ❤ ronsey
Just then, in that moment, the thought of Gansey leaving for D.C. without him was unbearable. They had been a two-headed creature for so long, Ronan-and-Gansey. He couldn’t say it, though. There were a thousand reasons why he couldn’t say it.
