@sixofcrowsnet hunger games » (modern) kaz brekker for @ryhmaresh
he was a collection of hard lines and tailored edges.
─ he’s a college student in a city he’s mapped the veins of. he feels like a burial ground. he carries his ghosts like a blanket on his shoulders to every class and every dorm. he wants more so no rest for the wicked. [ listen. ]

memories of jordie were already too fresh in his mind, and for a moment, kaz wasn’t walking through the canal-side garden of a rich merch, he was knee-deep in spring grasses, hot sun beating down on his cheeks, his brother’s voice calling him home.

“i’ve thought about your powers,” wylan said, cheeks flushing pinker. “has it ever occurred to you that your grisha ability might be part of the reason you’re such a good shot?”
“wylan, you’re cute, but you’re a whole lot of crazy in one little glass.”
“maybe. but i’ve seen you manipulate metal. i’ve seen you direct it. what if you don’t miss because you’re directing your bullets too?”
jesper shook his head. this was ridiculous. he was a good shot because he’d been raised on the frontier, because he understood guns, because his mother had taught him to steady his hand, clear his mind, and to sense his target as much as see it. his mother. a fabrikator. a grisha, even if she never used that word. no. that’s not how it works. but what if it was?

they don’t know who we are. not really. they don’t know what we’ve done, what we’ve managed together. so let’s go show them they picked the wrong damn fight.
@sixofcrowsnet heist: historical au » the prohibition era
it’s the 1920’s and the manufacture and sale of alcohol has been prohibited by the american government under the temperance movement. but rather than comply with these new prohibition restrictions, the citizens have simply moved underground. bootlegging has become the newest hobby, and speakeasies have started popping up on every block. sensing an opportunity, one boy has assembled a small gang to compete on the streets. they call themselves the dregs, and have just opened an underground speakeasy, the crow club. the notoriety of this small gang has roared to life seemingly overnight, much to the displeasure of the larger gangs on the streets. rumor has it that they deal in everything and anything—no job is too dirty or too illegal for them, and they don’t take no for an answer.
if you want it? head to the crow club. if you can impress their leader, kaz brekker, then no request is off the table, as long as you have the funds. but be warned, brekker and his gang don’t come cheap.
